1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies (“Emirates Scholar,” “we,” “us”), the organiser of the European Arab Medical Congress (EAMC) 2026, collects, uses and protects personal data when you use this website and register for the Congress. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data of the United Arab Emirates and applicable regulations.

3. The data we collect
- Registration data: name, email, phone, profession/specialty, organisation, country.
- Abstract/paper submissions: author details and submitted content (where applicable).
- Payment data: for paid passes, processed securely by a third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and usage data collected via cookies and analytics tools.
- Correspondence: information you provide when contacting us.
4. How we use your data
To process registrations and submissions; to administer CME certification; to communicate programme, venue and logistical updates; to improve the website and Congress; and, where you have consented, to send updates about future editions and related activities.
5. Legal basis
We process data on the basis of your consent, the performance of our agreement with you (e.g. registration), our legitimate interest in running the Congress, and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Sharing your data
We share data only with: service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. registration, payment, CME accreditation bodies); Congress partners only with your explicit consent; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the UAE, we apply appropriate safeguards consistent with UAE data-protection law.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, including academic-record, accreditation and legal requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

12. Children
The website and Congress registration are intended for professionals and adults; we do not knowingly collect data from children.
